This is a new identity I recently designed for Wild Side Handmade Preserves for use across all their labels, print and website designs. The logo and label needed to stand out on a shelf in deli’s and shops, and reflect the nature of the business. The majority of ingredients like wild garlic, rosehip, nettle, elderflower, primose and dandelion are foraged from along tow paths as the owners spend time on their canal barge. I’m hoping to learn more about foraging from them as it’s something I’d like more confidence in, even if just to pick some nettle for soup or elderflowers for cordial. If anyone has any good foraged ingredient recipes, I’d love to know.
Love your design skills! Here is a recipe I recently used for elderflower cordial. So so easy, cheap and tasty. But you’d better make sure you get the elderflowers before the rain turns them all brown! I promise you its worth it http://theoldwashhouse.info/2012/06/06/making-the-most-of-elderflowers/
